What is the first thing I should do if I am in an accident?Make sure everyone is alright, then exchange insurance information and call the police. If you're not at fault you may need the police report to prove to the other party's insurance they are liable. Do I get a rental car if I have no transportation during my repairs? That depends on your insurance policy. If you don't have rental on your policy, contact your agent. Rental insurance is very inexpensive to add on. At One Stop Auto Body we have a limited fleet of interim vehicles in-house to ease an already potentially stressful time. How do I know where to have my car repaired? You can choose any body or mechanical repair shop you like. Insurance companies can not force you to go to any certain shop. Check reputation, longevity in the market and which shop provides lifetime warranties and the best service. Will my paint match after my repairs?Yes! If you go to the right shop, they will have the correct equipment to match to your original color and guarantee the match. What if my car has frame damage?A quality shop will have the latest equipment to repair your frame back to factory specs. If your vehicle requires front-end alignment work, we sub-contract that out to local specialists. We also warranty the repairs for as long as you own the vehicle. Do I have to take my vehicle to the repair shop my insurance company tells me to go to?Definitely Not! In the state of Wisconsin you have the right to take your vehicle to the shop of your choice. We suggest you check around, look for reputation, longevity in the market and lifetime warranty. Pick the shop you best feel will serve your needs. What are liability, comprehensive, and collision coverage?Liability coverage pays for damages to someone else or their property, and some form of liability coverage is required by all States. Optional collision coverage will repair or replace your covered vehicle if it is damaged in an accident, even if the accident is your fault. Comprehensive coverage covers events such as fire, theft, vandalism, and animal strikes. Both collision and comprehensive coverage normally require the owner to pay a deductible. Can a shop reduce or eliminate my deductible? No. When you purchased your insurance policy, you signed a contract stating that you will pay a portion of the claim up to your deductible. Attempts to hide the deductible constitute fraud by the shop and the consumer. Should I get more than one estimate?Though not required for insurance purposes, we always recommend getting as many estimates as time permits and as you feel necessary. It is often a great way to visit the shops in person and can go a long way toward making a final decision. Who should I call to tow my car? Do you have towing? We do not currently offer towing services. There are numerous vehicle towing services in and around Chippewa Falls that will be able to assist you with your towing needs. Do I need an appointment for an estimate? No. We do not require an appointment for estimates. Just stop by our convenient location on Highway 29 just West of downtown Chippewa Falls and our estimator will assess your vehicle. How long does an estimate take?Typicall an estimate takes between 15-20 minutes, depending upon the extent of damage to your vehicle. What are your pickup and delivery methods? If your vehicle is drivable, we can arrange to pick it up at your home or office. When the work is complete, we can also drop it off for you. |
